WENTWORTH CLUB: There are three courses at the Wentworth Club. The famous West course, originally designed by H.S. Colt and recently re-designed by Ernie Els, was the site of the annual the HSBC World Match Play Championship from 1964 until 2007 and hosted the 1953 Ryder Cup Matches. It now hosts the BMW PGA Championship. The other courses at Wentworth are the East and Edinburgh. The Harry Colt designed East Course (opened in 1923), was the venue for inaugural Curtis Cup in 1932 and a friendly match between US and GB&I (forerunner to Ryder Cup) 1926. The Edinburgh Course, opened in 1990. The headquarters of the PGA European Tour are located at the club.
